The Importrance Of Etiquette

Nothing to me is more contradictory in etiquette than the
curtsey. From infancy we are told that good boys bow and good
girls curtsey in the most formal of introductions and
social settings. So what is the social implication of girls
and women lifting their skirts and dropping as a
form of greeting?
It boggles the mind.
