Shifting Sands

This image reminds me of a discussion that I once heard
regarding the pathological appreciation of forms. One party
argued that the shapes formed by the human body and also
formed by sand dunes appealed to the human psyche on a mutually
abstract level. The other argued that it was dunes that benefit
from similarities that they share with the human form.
My answer is heavily biased towards my appreciation of the
