So skeptical, so world-weary.  Opelousas Street
is a northside road in Lake Charles, Louisiana,
my home town, and is the location of the local
bus station. In her eyes I see hundreds of runaways,
lost youth at the whim of the world.  Too scared to
trust, too tired to care.
