In The Wings

The Frankenstein archetype is perhaps the most
tenacious of the last 200 years of horror mythos. The ill-inspired
doctor's creation is the perfect creature of menace to the modern
industrial/technological age. Man playing childishly in God's toolbox.
Creating life preternaturally.
I wonder if that is why the modern geneticists chose
Dolly the Sheep as a suitable subject to clone.  Maybe she
was genetically convenient as they say.
Perhaps though, they deliberately chose a subject as far
from monstrous as possible for the sake of the news cameras.
(We all know what happens when the flashbulbs go off.)
