Giger's Mistress

“What’s wrong with her?” is the first question
that many people have asked of this photograph.
This model is extremely fit, a swimmer by
avocation, and this leanness adds a certain
exaggerated, structural look to her back. Much like
Giger’s SPECIES design. Add to this, the spidery look
of the swivel chair, and I am reminded of some
netherworld-ish, storybook monster, gropingly
riding her beast home after a long night of plundering
villages, and devouring small children.
