Cloister

When life is harsh, and surroundings are merely the
setting for troubles, the child seeks a separate place.  A
refridgerator carton, a closet, under a table, any place to call
one's own. That child still exsists and chooses instead an automobile,
a private club, perhaps even a workshop or a study.
