Center of Gravity

In the last 100 years, as women have taken innumerable new roles whether
by choice or necessity, society has (perhaps reluctantly) grown to
accept these new roles. Artistically, the upshot of this is that metaphorically,
women can now effectively represent virtually anything or anyone.
I can symbolize much more with a female model than with a male.
I don't know if this is accurate for every artist, but it is in my case.  Judging
by the historic record, and the oft-related under-representation of male nudes,
it might just hold true.
