Blue Citra

I often  use fruit as a feminine analogy. I find it to

be effective and convincing visually. But sometimes

the analogy breaks down with the introduction of

other inanimate objects. Symbolism can be a dangerous

tool if not thoroughly reined in.

This is a tame variation of an image that I had planned.

I was hoping to illustrate penetration with the foreground

orange and the phallic knife.

When I saw the final image, all that spoke to me was

penetration WITH a literal knife.

Not what I had intended at all.

It took the input of my wife to isolate the mistake.
